Business Development Professional
We are currently seeking Tenacious, Achievement Driven, Outside Business Development Professionals to join our team and engage new prospects to find a match for our Professional Services and related Technology Solutions.
You'll be starting cold, contacting IT Executives and C-Level contacts from a vast cross-section of industries and varying composition. The successful candidate will be a charismatic person who covets prospecting for new opportunities, expresses boundless enthusiasm, is forward thinking, always tenacious, is viewed as an over-achiever, and is always well organized. The successful prospect for this position will effectively demonstrate a remarkable ability at opening doors to new opportunities and setting successful appointments from a cold start as well as be highly self-motivated, a terrific people person that exhibits excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as being a barracuda closer.
A technical aptitude or background in modern day technology foundations such as Datacenter operations, Server Infrastructure, Virtualization, VoIP, Network Infrastructure, Cloud, SaaS, DaaS, IaaS, and LAN/WAN Networking will be helpful and will lend to your success on our team. The ability to learn and continue to foster new educational goals for yourself will help you close more sales and lend to a high level of credibility with your prospects. Qualifications
Essential Job Functions:
- Positively communicating and interacting with other departments for pre/post-sales support.
- Responding pro-actively and sensitively to the needs of clients with a focus on achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
- Broadening and deepening existing client relationships to gain strategic positioning as well as retain existing revenue and attain additional business.
- Developing and communicating prioritized list of strategic opportunities for target prospects.
- Identifying leads and developing partnerships that integrate the company's products and services into strategic solutions for customers.
- Promoting and positioning the company's professional services and solutions through direct and indirect existing and new customer prospecting.
- Developing and maintaining milestones and metrics to measure the progress of strategic plans, projects, and programs against organizational goals and objectives.
- Developing status and analysis reports and presentations for regular review.
- Actively participating in industry associations and demonstrate value through increased awareness, opportunities, and winning effectiveness.
- Following up on all existing business to insure retention, quality control, and development of new business.
- Preparing and formally presenting proposals to C-Level Executives, IT Managers, and IT Executives.
- Establishing trust, rapport and creditability with client C-Level Executives, IT Managers, and IT Executives.
- Identifing new client and sales opportunities, and generating the required cold prospecting activities of phone calls, contacts, prospect engagements, and proposals to ensure quotas and sales goals are achieved each month.
- Identifying, qualifying, and developing strategic opportunities for sales to prospects and aggressively generates revenue within a defined territory, as evidenced through achievement of a defined quota.
- Developing a pipeline of opportunities and targeted growth strategy to achieve annual new business objectives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of Two (2), preferably Four (4) years in a business-to-business sales environment as an outside sales professional.
- Minimum of Two (2), preferably Four (4) years of experience consistently exceeding sales quotas as an outside sales contributor selling professional services and proven experience creating and developing opportunities in the market.
- Technical Skills and Certifications are preferred, but not required.
- Experience successfully managing a varying schedule and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience excelling in a dynamic culture that requires adaptability to changes in procedures, processes, technologies, responsibilities, assignments, schedules and unknown evolutions of team requirements.
- Demonstrate a successful history of selling technology solutions in competitive environments.
- Demonstrate a track record of extreme commitment to understanding the value of the services offered to prospective clients and maintaining the integrity of the pricing structure assigned to those service offerings.
- Demonstrate successful experience in selling to C-Level Executives, IT Managers, and IT Executives.

- Possess solid listening skills with the ability to pick up on verbal and non-verbal signals displayed by prospective clients and adjust sales style and process to meet the needs of the prospective client.
- Understanding of sales techniques and strategies necessary to sell competitively and present the company's value proposition to all types of audiences.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- Self-motivated and driven team player with a sense of urgency to stay in front of strategic opportunities.
- Ability to develop multiple tactical alternatives to drive strategic decision making.
- Ability to articulate the requirements for technical, contractual, commercial and management responses.
- Possess exceptional written/verbal communications skills, presentation skills, organizational time management skills, and display a strong customer-facing, sales and marketing, and presentation skills.
- Be self-disciplined, diligent, and have good work ethics.
- Have the ability to overcome objections and skillfully close sales.
- Have the ability to pass any industry certification exams required for Technical Sales.
