Full Stack Python Developer

Location: Reading, PA

Essential Job Functions:

  • Deploying, Supporting and Maintaining Developed SaaS Applications
  • Working with Vendors to support applications and environments
  • Project Management of multiple application projects
  • Engineering and Deployment of application Infrastructure improvements.
  • Delivering patching and system performance enhancements to new, under development, and existing applications.
  • Programing new software and web applications, supporting new applications under development, and the customization of current applications.
  • Developing monitoring and automation tools for system health and deployment.
  • Editing and reviewing technical requirements documentation.
  • Working with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Interfacing with business analysts, project managers, and clients to clarify requirements.
  • Assisting other team members with their assignments as required.
  • Testing own work and contributing to the development of test plans.
  • Preparing documentation that describes installation and operating procedures, including application user guides.
  • Evaluating and planning software designs, test results, and technical manuals.
  • Analyzing and determining integration needs.
  • Occasional On-Call responsibilities related to system support.
  • Off hour deployments and maintenance outside normal working hours.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Web Front End UI/UX Development with Python and Django.
  • Mobile Application Development with Android and IOS.
  • Cloud Development experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong development experience using either Java, JavaScript, CSS3, Swift, Python, HTML5, JSON, Objective –C, or PostgreSQL is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Django and the Django security models is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental web service technologies including XML, SOA, and REST is highly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Linux, Docker, Openstack and Kubernetes is highly preferred.
  • Strong software integration experience.
  • Commercial software development lifecycle practices.
  • Experience with QA, Testing, Validation, and Revision Management.
  • Experience with various web development tools and IDE environments.
  • Familiar with Active Directory and LDAP environments.
  • Works independently to develop, configure, code and test programs.
  • Must own or lease a well maintained motor vehicle
  • Must be an energetic and highly motivated self-starter
  • Must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must have the ability to multi-task
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others

  • Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
  • Displays knowledge of, and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, project management skills.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
